現在、コロナ渦のため、NPOもこれまでのようにボランティア活動ができず、支援を必要としている人へのサポートが難しい状況にあります。そこで、もうすぐハロウィンの季節なので、日本社会に貢献しているＮＰＯに寄付で貢献してみませんか？ これまで、ボランティア活動や寄付の経験がない方もこれを機にぜひ、ご協力いただければと思います。 一般的に他者へ貢献すると自分の幸福度も上がる傾向があるといわれています。 現在、私たちが住んでいる日本も含めて、世界中でボランティアや支援を必要としている人たちがいます。このような難しい局面である時こそ、私達のConscious Culture (自己理解、他者への理解、自分が他者(チーム、お客様、より大きなコミュニティー）にもたらす影響に常に目を向け理解し、意図的に行動することにより最高の体験を生み出す）を体現し、サポートを必要としている人たちを支援していきましょう。 Currently, due to the corona vortex, NPOs are not able to volunteer as much as they have in the past, making it difficult to support those in need. So, since it's almost Halloween season, why not contribute to NPOs that are contributing to Japanese society with donations? Even if you have never volunteered or donated to a cause before, we hope you will take this opportunity to help them. In general, it is said that when you contribute to others, your own happiness tends to increase. There are people all over the world, including in Japan where we live, who are in need of volunteers and support. In these difficult times, we need support in embodying our Conscious Culture (self-awareness, understanding of others, and creating the best possible experience through constant focus and intentional action on the impact we have on others (teams, customers and the larger community). Remembrance day is a memorial day to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty since the end of the first World War. We are hoping to raise money to support The Royal British Legion in 2020. Every poppy counts!

Cancer affects nearly everyone, join the cure cause.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is meant to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. During this month, we'd like to encourage Namely employees to donate to this cause.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, sadly, the numbers of women receiving this diagnosis is not falling in any significant way. Breast Cancer has likely touched all of us in some way — through our families, extended families, friends, or perhaps friends of friends. I remind everyone that breast cancer awareness should not be limited to the month of October and call on the community to keep the message alive all-year round. One thing that keeps surfacing in my consciousness is a need to evolve conversations and actions about breast cancer towards a more holistic and integrated model.

Together we can fight brain cancer so help me raise money for the National Brain Tumor Society. National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) unrelentingly invests in, mobilizes, and unites our community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and care partners.

Support WaterAid this Global Handwashing Day: October 15th Governments keep telling us to wash our hands to prevent the spread of Covid-19. But what if you can’t? Today, on Global Handwashing Day, a shocking three billion people have nowhere to wash their hands with soap and water at home, despite this being one of the best ways to prevent the spread of the deadly disease. One in four health care centers globally do not have clean water and 40 percent lack handwashing facilities, putting the lives of millions of health workers and patients at risk. As children around the world go back to school, many won’t be able to wash their hands. Globally, two in five schools lack basic handwashing facilities, and one in three have limited or no water supply. Why invest in clean water, sanitation and hygiene: The World Health Organization recommends regular handwashing with soap and water, together with physical distancing, as a vital first line of defense against COVID-19 and other highly contagious diseases. This makes water, sanitation and hygiene indispensable elements of preventive health care. Making America great again

Asians@VMware is a US-based POD with a mission to increase broader Asian representation and inclusion in tech, creating an environment where all Asians can thrive. To achieve this goal our group has three primary areas of focus in 2020 and aim to: 1. Increase the representation of Asian women in tech. While Asians represent 25% of all tech workers, women only make up 4% of those. 2. Increase the representation of Asian demographics outside of Indian and Chinese. 3. Address anti-Asian sentiment arising in our communities around COVID-19. In this fund, we’ve curated a list of nonprofits that are aligned with these goals. Donations to this fund will be evenly distributed to the nonprofits listed here.

The End Hunger Fund focuses on addressing food insecurity – a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. This fund is comprised of three national charities – FEEDING AMERICA, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization; NO KID HUNGRY, dedicated to eradicating child hunger through schools breakfast, as well as afterschool and summer meals for kids; and MEALS ON WHEELS AMERICA dedicated to serving the more than 10 million vulnerable seniors across the country. Bringing this issue home, also included is THE GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK, providing meals to people in the communities that many of us live in. An epidemic in its own right according to some, the economic impact of COVID-19 has made the situation even more dire, millions of Americans are out of work, and hunger, one of our nation’s most urgent problems, has grown even worse. This fund includes vetted, high impact-per-dollar charities with two goals: treatment of preventable illnesses and alleviation of extreme poverty. Even a modest donation can have a big impact when you donate to highly effective organizations that are helping people to meet their most basic needs. For example, highly treatable diseases can be cured with very small amounts of money (Against Malaria Foundation can distribute a long lasting insecticidal net for every $5 donate. The Environment and Sustainability fund features high-impact local, state, and national organizations that work to address issues in conservation, environmental education, and food insecurity.

On June 15, 2020, the US Supreme Court ruled that it is illegal for employers to discriminate against employees based on their sexual orientation and gender. This recent victory highlights how we are still in the throes of fighting for who we are and who we love. The LGBTQIA+ Community Support and Legal Action Fund strives to support people affected by discrimination and advocates defending human rights. With the added strains of the pandemic and civil unrest throughout our country, it is crucial that we support these resources and advocacy groups to pave the way towards a brighter and more just future.

The fund aims to help children that can’t help themselves and give them the opportunity to live a prosperous life. It targets the core needs of children and high impact charities for those in unfortunate circumstances. Supporting this fund is a step towards ending childhood hunger, education inequality, and economic disparity for children with epilepsy. The included charities have been vetted to ensure that the majority of donations go directly to the cause.

Together with our amazing group of volunteers across DBRS Toronto, Morningstar Toronto, and Sustainalytics, we have narrowed our areas of focus to the following four: The Elderly, The Unemployed, Hunger & Homelessness, and Diversity & Inclusion​ We've reached out to several organizations and selected 3 charities where we will volunteer both virtually and non-virtually: CEE Center for Young Black Professionals, Dixon Hall, and Fred Victor Organization.

The NSPCC is dedicated to preventing child abuse, rebuilding children's lives and supporting families.

Guided by science and economics, we need to find practical and lasting solutions to the most serious environmental problems.

This fund was created to assist in creating pathways out of hunger and homelessness with a focus on the Chesapeake Bay region. I believe it is the duty of all people to assist those less fortunate.

Food Angel By Bo Charity Foundation is a food rescue and food assistance program launched in 2011 by Bo Charity Foundation with the mission of "WASTE NOT, HUNGER NOT, WITH LOVE." Support the Chicago community through the COVID-19 pandemic and Morningstar’s mission to make an impactful difference for people and organizations struggling during this difficult time. The Chicago COVID-19 Community Outreach and Response team has partnered with four local charities, HelloBaby, The Chicago Literacy Alliance, My Block My Hood My City, and Ignite to offer these organizations support that will make a meaningful impact to the communities hardest hit by the pandemic.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw 1/9 people struggle with hunger in Washington state, with 1/6 of these people being kids. Unfortunately as the pandemic remains a public health crisis, we expect that by the end of the year 1/5 Washingtonians could be facing hunger. In 2019, just over 1 million people visited food banks and pantries, but in 2020 so far, the number has raised to over 2.2 million individuals, with 40% of those people using food assistance programs for the very first time. PitchBook has decided to participate in Food Frenzy - a virtual fundraising competition with local Washington companies to raise money for Food Lifeline. Food Lifeline is an organization whos mission is to end hunger in Washington (a cause more important than ever now). They distribute food through a partnership with 300 food banks, shelters, and meal programs, enabling them to provide 134,000 meals every single day. They work to end hunger for the future by addressing root causes including systemic inequality and social justice through advocacy efforts to shape local and state policy. Food Lifeline also diverts food from landfills to help protect the environment while feeding hungry residents. Please consider donating to our goal of $5,000 by October 2nd!
