Stichting The Blue House Project
In 2018 I traveled together with my girlfriend for 5 weeks around India and visited the Blue House Project and played with the kids and provide them a mathematics lesson. Furthermore, we took a lot of pictures and videos, to create a after movie to share online.
In The Hague, there is a jewelry store where they sell jewelry from India which is hand-made by the parents in Pushkar. The parents are empowered by employing them and helping to become independent and self-sufficient. 100% of the profit is given to the woman who made the products. It was very special to meet these woman, and the families!

Update February 6th 2025 - Jaira Chin (founder)
Your support helped The Blue House Project to start up the Women Employment Project. The donations are used to train four young vulnerable mothers from the tent community. They took part in two skills trainings: jewelry making and stitching. The four women are mothers of some of our students and were married off at a young age (below 18). They rely on their often abusive husband for income. This new project empowers them through skills trainings and a stable income. Thank you for making this possible!

Update April 15th 2024 - Jaira Chin (founder)
Thanks to your support, the monthly income of The Blue House Project has been increased with 20%. In April 2024, the largest amount since the start of the NGO in 2016 has been donated! Thanks to your support, the NGO is able to become more financially sustainable, expand the existing education project and start new projects.
Our biggest project has been the Sponsor A Child program, which helped us to send around 70 children from the tent community to school every year. The first new project is the Women Employment Project: a traineeship and employment program for young women from the desert tent camp who were married off too young.
In The Blue House, we offer skills trainings to young unskilled women who lack education and income. This project helps young vulnerable women to become financially independent, skilled, empowered and employed!

Update Nov 29th 2023 - Jaira Chin (founder)
Jaira, the owner of this NGO, contacted me and she is extremely happy with the amount of donations (now $3000 in total!!). She send the following message:
“Thank you so much for your donations on Bright Funds. As a small organization, this amount is huge and is of great help. This school year, we have 60 childeren on the APS school of which The Blue House Project is paying with the donations the school fees, books, uniforms and bags. With your donation I have build a small sport field including volleyball net and football goal. The children play here after school, as well they receive yoga classes and puppet shows are organized. Furthermore, your donations are used for the school feeding project: every day after school, the children will go to the Blue House to play, make homework and have food as they do not have enough food at their homes.”
